Rough has several big farms that are along the rivers edge, in ohio co. They do this to keep the fields from flooding. Some already are flooded again due to the heavy rains this week. If they let it out it would flood a lot of ground.

There has been a lot of rain this week.... rough is still going up while the other lakes are going down.... I'll never understand why the Corps screws Rough all the time...... but anyway was going for the first night trip of the year and was looking for water color on Rough or Nolin.....if they are all muddied up.... makes for a tough night.
Just looking for where to go...... Thanks for any help!

Well I went out on Rough Friday night from about 7:30pm to about 2:30 am. the water was not as muddy as I thought it might be. I put in at Laurel Branch and was guessing it was 6 foot plus over summer pool as the courtesy dock was way under water. I only went up as far as Panther and it was just before dark that I caught most of my fish. I managed only 1 keeper and 7 shorts as with the water flooded up into the trees made it just a bit difficult to fish. Baits used that caught a fish were Zara Puppy, Mad Paca in grn pum texas rigged and a jig with a Power craw trailer both in blu/blk.
