5/0 - 7/0 Gamakatsu EWG Worm hook. Period.
Heard a couple of Elite Series guys say they always use 3/0 and have better results. Not sure why. One did say they tend to hit the bait at the head and can get the hook in the lip instead of the back of the throat. I have used a 3/0 this year and it works fine.
4/0 or 5/0 regular offset worm hooks. Owner or Gammy.
Fish do tend to hit the head and not from behind. DO NOT use the bigger 7.0 hooks. Too many stories of the hook going into the fishes brain and killing them. 3-5.0 hooks work very well for me.
3/0 or4/0 Wide gap Gammy's or even Eagle Claws are fine. Never a need to use larger than 5/0 hook in bass fishing in my opinion. A bass with any shoulders at all will most always hit the head of a worm.
I like the 4/0 gammy regular offset, not the EWGs.
Bassky
4/0 to 5/0 EWG works great for me at the farm pond.
Elite series pro Bill Lowen told me to go with a 3/0 offset gammy so far it,s worked.
