Fishing for Kids/Mid-Kentucky Bass Anglers Day
The incredible Fagan Branch Reservoir comes alive in September each year with the Fishing for Kids/Mid-Kentucky Bass Anglers Day.
This is not your typical day on the lake. There’s a kid fishing derby, casting contests, fishing tournament, FLW bass boat simulator and Fun Zone, a hiking/nature walk, seminars, demonstrations, RC planes, Kentucky Hunting & Trapping Society Booth, Kentucky State Police Booth, Kentucky Fish & Wildlife Booth, hiking treasure hunt, bobber pond, canoeing, minnow races, face painting, fishing simulator, mock rescue, fire truck, rescue squad, camping the night before, 45 minute guided fishing trip, bouncy houses, door prizes and trophies for biggest bass, catfish, and bluegill, as well as most weight caught in the tournament. We also need boaters so if anyone owning a boat that can make it out please let me know by phone or email.
In 2009, the event is scheduled for Sat., Sept. 5, from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. or until the fish stop biting! This is great family fun for all ages.
Picnic foods such as hotdogs and chips are provided and there are plenty of prizes, such as tackle packs, fishing poles, books, posters and more, to be won throughout the event.

I plan on making this one for the kids, hope the rain stays away.Terry Adolph
Thanks Terry for taking time to let some kids fish off your boat. It should be a great day for all the kids. We have about 25+ booths for them to do stuff at and I hope the fishing and weather is good also. We are prepaired for 1500 to 2000 kids and age's from 3-17.
Hope somemore boaters out there read this and can come help make some kids day and maybe catch there first or maybe there biggest fish ever.
