Ok guys/ girls i need a little help. I am leaving next saturday for a 5 day trip out of sarasota florida down the coast to captiva island. I am gonna be staying on a 2009 sea ray 60ft sundancer. So i was hoping some of you might be able to give me an idea of what type of gift you give the owners of a new boat when they have invited you on a trip and especially when its your girlfriends parents? I know what you are gonna say........what do they really need when they are living in florida and just dropped a million bucks on a boat? But seriously any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The best Ky. bourbon you can find.
A nice Ky. country ham.
And does youre girlfriend have a sister?
If the bourbon is too strong, how about getting some wine from the various Kentucky wineries? Or something along the lines of a "Kentucky Proud" gift basket with an assortment of KY delicacies? Country ham and beaten biscuits, beer cheese, etc. It could serve as a reminder of, or introduction to, Kentucky.

Big bottle of Woodford Reserve and Kentucky Gift Proud basket.
Also like Dave said does your girlfriend have any sisters????
A ring for there daughters finger! Oh and the Woodfords is good to...LOL
DJD, you took the words out of my mouth in your first post. I'm in the hospitality industry and buy client gifts all the time. Good bourbon, KY wines and Old KY Chocolates are always very well received. With bourbon, Makers Mark or Woodford top the list IMO.
BOUBONBALES, I'm glad you're leaning on us here, man. Posting on a fishing site about how to impress the girl's folks. I like it! I'm kinda surprised someone on here didn't tell you to buy your girlfriend's dad a Banjo Minnow kit or card full of Float n Flies or something.
Are they basketball fans? How about a couple of UK tickets. With the upcoming season looking very promising, might be a great gift! Maybe some protection for the boat, in the way of handgun?

I am really appreciating the gift ideas. I guess I should have mentioned that they are Kentucky natives originally from the Paducah area and they spent alot of time on Kentucky lake and Barkely.........hold on, wait one minute here. Her dad spent his whole life on those great fisheries before moving to Florida and he told me he doesn't like to fish!!!!!!!!!......on second thought I think I am gonna run while I can!!!!!!! Just kidding!! Keep the gift ideas rolling. I'll report back with what I gave em' and how it went over.
Oh, and those of you who mention the beer cheese I have that taken care of as I am a partner in a newly started beer cheese company here locally, I am taking plenty of that down with me to pass around!
Go with the woodford reserve. Unless you can find a makers mark with Caliparis autograph.
