My favorite pattern in the fall is either a spinnerbait, or pop-r fished over what is left of the grass. the back of creeks is usually on fire in the fall.

The bass sure liked the rise in water level today.....caught em' several different ways and had several nice ones......Water temp. was below 80 everywhere I fished! It sure beat going to work!!!! I'm heading down to Patoka in the fall.....any suggestions would be appreciated. I haven't been there at that time of the year in the past and could use a good ramp/starting point.

Did you catch them on the fast side? Is the water in the bushes? I have a club tourney there Saturday.
Yes I did catch them on the fastside....and yes the water was in the bushes yesterday. I caught them on topwater early and then finesse type stuff when the sun got high. I'm sure guys are catching them out on structure....just haven't done it much this year. The slowside is probably muddy, but I haven't been there since the rain this week. The lake stayed up today...almost four feet high still.....could be good for you if the fish stay shallow.
