I am working at a lodge in Alaska this summer for those who are not aware of it.
I get to talk to people from all over the world. The difference in fishing laws is amazing to me. Europeans for the most part can not bring whole unsmoked fish home. Only smoked fish. In Germany you have to attend a school in order to be able to fish on German Waters. The license for a week in Alaska ($55.00) is cheaper than the license for fishing one day in Germany.
In England live bait is not allowed to be used in any park in England. This included the Thames River in London. Only corn and baits of that nature are allowed for carp, and fly fishing is all flies.
I am sure some of you have other stories of rules and regs for other countries.. tell us about them so we can appreciate our Kentucky Fishing Heritage even more.
