I've seen a few "live suckers" in my day..not sure I would want them in the boat, though.
Thanks Bob. Guess I should have thought about this last spring and caught my own and kept them. Sure would like to have some come Dec-Jan. I've caught some monster muskie on them in the past after the water temp drops and the fish get slower.BG: Man I hear ya. I used to love to fish with them at C-land when the Stripers were deep. I used to put those guys down 80-90 feet, keep them just close enough to the bottom that they could see it but not get there, and they'd spend the next 3-4 hours bouncing the rod tip and exciting Stripers while they tried to reach the mud. And the good thing was you could use the same bait 4 or 5 times, up and down. Sometimes it got to the point I was running out of face places in the sucker to hook it, just too many prior hook holes!
Side note, last time I was down, 3rd week of August, Lake Cumberland County Store/ Bass Pro was stocking Gizzard shad. FYI, if it helps any.
If I bump into any will let ya know and post here for all.
"Live" suckers, now that's funny. 1 born every minute.
