Caught some real nice redear yesterday and was wondering about their diet. When I cleaned the bigger ears, they had a very distinct, white cheesy substance in their guts. I'm assuming it's mussel meat but really don't know, it's a thick, white substance reminding me of chewed up swiss cheese. Any ideas?? They seem to always have this in them in the autumn.
Were there any crawfish remains? Could also be digested minnows?
