    Beer bread recipe

I got this off another fishing site. Sure sounds easy. The other site even had a picture posted of the finished product and it sure looked tasty!! Here's the link http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=364239

    Beer Bread

    12 ounces beer,at room temperature....any flavor
    3 cups self rising flour
    3 tablespoons sugar

    Mix flour,sugar and beer
Mix till moist.***Don't beat the mixture***
Put it in a greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Right away after it comes out of oven, pour 1 stick of melted butter over the top of bread and remove from loaf pan.

I never had figured out why sane people would screw up good beer and good bread by mixing the two.

Actually we're taking good beer and good flour to make great bread.

Same difference--if you are eathing the bread for the taste of the beer its like drinking non-alcoholic beer--absolutely senseless. If you want to taste beer--DRINK BEER. If you wnat to taste bread--MAKE BREAD!! You will never convicne me that the two go together.

Here's a reply from the other site.

"Well, the bread is finished and it is 1/2 the height of the first post pic. I'm also guessing the 'any beer' does not include Guinness stout, as it tastes like crap.

The dogs like it, though "

Tyme is still going to give a try.
