I think it is one of those rare craprum
Beep Beep
Rock bass and some call them red eyes around here. I catch them in Lake Erie and St. Claire all day every day. They can get up to 2 lbs but usually the average size is in your hand. They are very good to eat though for what it's worth. Up north they are stonger than a small mouth pound for pound.
yes, depending on from where you are from i've heard them called, rockbass, redeye, or goggle eye. I enjoy catching them in the creeks here in ky, particularly the shalllower creeks that are abundant with smallmouth, they are definately a hard fighting fish pound for pound!!rock bass and some call them red eyes around here. It does kind of look like a Talapia!
It"s a rock bass.
Rockbass fo sho. Catch'm all the time in the creeks.
A fourth for Goggle Eye. Those things fight well for their size and will grab a plastic worm in rock creek at night sometimes. I caught one a pound or so once and was just mad, cause was in a tournament. I should've kept it for mount or mouth.
It's a redeye and they are as good as bluegill or crappie if you can catch the big ones. I've seen them as big a 12" which is big for a redeye but you can catch good keepers in the 8" range easily.
