Frankfort, Ky. – The fisheries division of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources plans to establish a new fishing opportunity in Lebanon City Lake (also known as Fagan Branch Lake) with an initial stocking of rainbow trout planned for Monday, Jan. 11.
Lebanon City Lake possesses enough cold-water habitat throughout the summer months for trout to survive year-round. The lake will receive 2,000 rainbow trout each January, followed by another 2,000 rainbow trout each November.
Anglers, unless license exempt, must purchase a trout stamp to keep trout. The daily limit is eight fish.
These stockings will provide anglers a year-round trout fishing opportunity including night fishing during the summer. The lake is located south of Lebanon, off Fagan Branch Road. Inclement weather may create a temporary delay for the first stocking date.
