    Derby City Fly Fishers

Since we have our own board now, I would like to mention we have an excellent organization here in Louisville called Derby City Fly Fishers. They are a non-profit organization that focuses on fly fishing education.

Every third wednesday of the month there is an educational meeting at the Louisville Nature Center where we have a featured presenter who will talk about various fishing techniques, gear, and anything fly fishing.

On the 4th Wednesday of each month we teach a fly tying class at Bass Pro Shops in the auditorium.

If none of that suits your fancy you can also take advanced of club sanctioned trips where we put groups together to go fishing every where from the Cumberland River, the White River, Panama City, and pretty much anywhere within a day drive.

    Check it out at www.derbycityflyfishers.com.

I will definitely be at the show. I have been to each one you have had in the past. Will MaCauley Lord be back? Who all will be doing the seminars this year?

Funny how small the world is. flyfish works across the street from me... probably about 150' from where I sit. I get my internet connection through his company bluegrass net and we met via this site. If I ever take up flyfishing he has agreed to meet me down the alley at the vacant lot and show me how to cast.

Just wondered if that was you that I spoke to several times on the River in passing ? I know there are two of them. Someone told me once that it was Derby City FF.

I had the Hyde with Green/Red Stripe and trolling motor. Whoever it was in the Green DB also gave me some info on the water depth below Helms right after I got my G3 1860 CCJ DLX JB. ( White W/Maroon,Gold stripes ) And I had to buzz some Dudes after that. Man, Did they give me a look

Anyway, Thank You ! If that was you ! I might try to make it up there to the big FF show. I work in ETOWN and Shepherdsville quite often.

    CYA,
    Rock
