Three Springs Lake, BG

1000 Trout coming here to BG on the 20th @ Three Springs Lake. It's always a nice opportunity for me to take the little john boat out and strip some bh buggers. Hopefully this ice will melt off by then so I can get the boat out there!

1500 coming to Prisoners lake on the same day, should be a great chance to christen my new kayak! I think i will try your rig, sounds promising. Anyone else ever tried a fly there, I've fished it from the bank since I was a kid, only a few places to attempt a cast there that way. So any other fly recommendations?

Planters can't resist the old bh bugger with the bh big hares ear trailer. The funniest thing to do is look for rises, cast to the rise and strip........WHAMO! Everytime. @ Three Springs, I don't bother with sinking lines, I just go with my floating line and an ten foot leader. The lake isn't that deep. Any bugger, leech, or even hopper/dropper will work on planters. They aren't too particular
