Not sure if any of you have ever been, but one of my favorite events each year is Troutfest, held in the Smokies each May. It is put on by the Little River Chapter of TU and raises ton's of money for fisheries in and around the GSMNP. Last year was my first time there. They have a lot of fly tying demos and casting instruction, plus you are surrounded by 800 miles of wild trout water. Some of the attendees include Bob Clouser, Dave Whitlock and Lefty Kreh. It is worth the trip to watch Lefty Kreh cast a fly rod. They have a big banquet and autction of Friday evening and the expo kicks off Saturday and Sunday.

That sounds like a great trip ! The Smokies is always good, But to see those guys also! Wow!
That sounds like a blast. I've never been but I sure would like to. I'll have to mark that on the calendar and try to find a way.

Lefty Kreh, Bob Clouser, Joe Humphreys, Jim Casada and Stan Bogdan are confirmed to be attending and more presenters will be added. Should be the biggest crowd ever because the Southeast Region of Trout Unlimited is holding their annual meeting there at the same time.
National Manufacturers, artists, rod makers, fly shops and sporting goods stores will be there showing you what they sell.
I definitely would like to go to that !
Tim, thanks for posting information. As it stands right now, I plan on attending. May even take the wife and spend a few extra days in the Smokies.
Sounds good Boone. I already have reservations, so I am definitely going. It is just waiting to see if my wife is going or not. When it gets closer to time, we will have to exchange cell numbers so that we could meet while down there.
