Bonefish,
I hadno idea that you were so refined. Very good. I think I will frame it.

Bobber Down
Before any hint of light
Appears across the dark morning sky
A cold white spray
Leaves its trail across the lake
With long rods rig and ready
The fly tired and scented
The floater finely tuned
Anticipation
Long awaited
Brings excitement
To the heart
A slight breeze
Ripples the water
A moment
A view in a dream
It’s “bobber down”
And the bronzeback
That transforms
Men into boys
And makes
Our spirit gleam

Thanks again Bone for the NEW verse...from the the "DIX RIVER POET" . Only a few of us (dum ass, die hard, winter hardy, FNF fisherman) can appreciate the verse "BOBBER DOWN"...Yee..Haw!!..Bobber Down!
slight breeze.
Ripples the water
A moment
A view in a dream
It's bobber down
And the bronzeback
Fish long, Live hard and BOBBER DOWN!!
There once was a bobber from Nantucket,
That floated in water in a bucket,
With a shad just below,
and winds that were slow,
we sat and waited for a Striper to sock it.
