    Maps for "Lesser Known" Lakes

Does anyone know where I can find quality lake maps for lakes such as: Green River Lake, Rough River Lake, Nolin River Lake, etc.? I have the "Sportsman's Connection KY Fishing Map Guide", but there's not as much detail as I would like.

You can get the Map Book at Bass Pro or Dicks Sporting Goods that has most of the Lakes in a region; even the lesser known. The book runs $20-25. The maps are adequate. If they don't have the specific map at Bass Pro, the book map is better than nothing.

Navionics chip in your gps/depthfinder is your best bet. They have the most detail. Atlantic mapping (which are the best paper maps) does not have any maps for those lakes so Hot Maps will be your best bet. Those are the walmart maps.

The Navionics DVD has all of those lakes and shows some pretty good detail IMO. You can get it for $14 right now....and have 10,000 other lakes too! See the thread on that topic for what you need to run it on your computer.

Yeah, the maps that have been mentioned are as good as maps as you can get your hands on for the smaller lakes. I mean your just gona get an idea of whats going on so time and effort with the electronics is the most important thing.
