I need to order a new steering system for my 17ft fish n ski. I see Cabelas has the Teleflex rack and pinion. Anybody have any experience with Teleflex or any other manufacturer? Thanks

I put the Teleflex Hydraulic steering on my 93 Ranger two new cables were about $600 and the Hydraulic was about $1000 but will never half to do it again, check fluid and hoses every now and then and that it. it's great to be going down the lake and can let go of the wheel, no torque. JMO

I replaced the steering on my 19.5' fish and ski with a Teleflex No Feedback cable system. It cost around $150. With that system you can also let go of the wheel and the boat will continue straight.
found this Teleflex Rack Package around $250 http://www.iboats.com/Teleflex-Nfb-R...n_id.027395106

Thanks fellas...
FYI, bought "The Rack" from Teleflex, I think it was around $160. I put it in this afternoon. Had to drill some holes in the dash, but was worth it. Turning the wheel used to be a two handed deal, now I can turn it with one finger, lol. Now if it will just warm up...
great Todd, I'm with you on the warming up
