Just tied up some olive green bh lightning bugs. I got some olive green flash back material from Gander the other day, and thought I would use it for my under wrap under my gold wire.......SEXY!!! Turned out beautiful! Wish I had these flies back in the 90's on the Provo River! Back then, the big browns loved green! Anyways, they are #18s and #20s, and my camera simply will not focuse in on flies that small (trust me, I tried!) so no pics.....but take my word for it, beautiful! Is it normal to want to eat a fly when your done tying it? LOL!

Alright....maybe if I tie one up on a #14 I can get a pic, lol! My camera simply will not focus in on those tiny flies! It's a brand new camera too! I'll try and get a pic of it posted tonight.

Is that peacock or ostrich herl in the thorax there?
LOL! I know Colonel, the pic is so bad you can't tell! It is peacock herl. Looks like crap in the pic, but is actually very pretty in real life. Great olive green flash to it. The planters seem to like it so far....but they also like corn and powerbait, so that doesn't mean much, lol! Can't wait to try it out on some realy trout waters.
