Glad to hear someone got out of the house and got to whack a few. I can't wait to get out of this house......

I didn't set the world on fire but it sure felt good to get out of the cave and on the water finally. I was afraid that the water and the fish would be too cold but was pleasantly surprised with a decent bite. I caught 8 or 10 bass on suspending jerks with 2 keepers and found some crappie too and ended up with enough for supper. Several days of sunshine does wonders for the fish's spirit much like a day on the water did for mine. Whew! Spring can't be far now!!

Amen brother. A bit of sunshine and few bends in the ol' rod does wonders. I am looking forward to a weekend trip hopefully in the next couple...
Kentucky was at 46 yesterday once the sun came out in the backs of bays. 3 keepers but a great day!
Two more days of work and then I'll be down there for 10 days of bass fishing. Anyone know of a good hotel to stay at around Johnathon creek as I can't check into the lake house until Friday?
There are several . I usually wind up at the Ken Bar. Stay there when over that way working and on fishing trips.
If you generally stay at KenBar, head a little East and visit Katie at Poplar Creek.
You will not find a cleaner place to stay anywhere around the lake. I've stayed quite a few places up there.......some serious RATHOLES, and some not too bad, and some spendy, some not too spendy.
Poplar Creek is a little on the spendy side, but they are GREAT.....I stay nowhere else now.
