i fished wilson thursday and water was 51-55. caught 27 in little over 4 hrs using x-rap #8 and 1/2 oz lipless. fish were just inside the mouth of creeks laying on flats near deeper water. fished wheeler friday and water was 53-56. caught 11 in 4 hrs all on 1/2 oz red eye shad, red craw color. fish seemed to be just a little further back in creeks, up to half way back. hope this helps and you catch a bunch.
thanks allot we are heading down this morning and were going try to fish all week. thanks again
no problem. if it were me, i'd stick to wilson. water level is more stable so the fish are more stable. plus wilson has the monster smallmouth. anyway, hope the weather holds up for you. let us know how you do.
had a great trip last week. the first 3 Day's were cold but the fish were doing there thing. caught 20+ fish a day in the 10-24 lb range, the last 2 days after the sun came out and it warmed up the fish pretty much shut their mouths so we came home. thanks again for the info and maybe talk again next spring.
