    Yes I have done very well with that color in a Wolly Bugger ! When they would not hit anything else !

    Excellent looking crawdad pattern! Not only can I see a monster SM or LM hitting this thing.....but I can invision stripping this on some of my home lakes and catching some monster trout!

    I was thinking 1/4 oz is that too big? Maybe 1/8 oz??

    Have lost track of my triple beam since I quit using it years ago ! LOL ! Will have to get me one of them new electronic scales to get them precise !

    That is one cool looking fly. I have slowly started a transition over the past year or two to throwing more streamers and getting away from my nymphing comfort zone. That "Rusty" fly looks like it has attractive colors and probably a lot of movement to it in the water. Do you ever tie articulated flies? I have been getting many of them recently from Kelly Galloup's line of streamers.

    Your Rusty HH in an articulated version would probably be killer.

    Yes as a matter a fact I do ! But they really take a long time. If I ever get caught up on my list of HH's to tie for my Fishin.com brothers??? I will tie you an articulated Rusty ! ( Might take a while, But I will get to it )
