Saturday, March 20, 2010, White River Bass Masters www.whiteriverbass.com) hosted their annual “Cabin Fever Tournament” at Geist Reservoir. And once again, angler turnout did not disappoint even though Geist proved to be a little fickle. Stained water dominated the main lake with the creek channels showing signs of clearing.

50 teams showed up to battle for the over $2,500 in money and prizes. Each of the competitors received in-store coupons for Dick’s Sporting Goods and Gander Mountain. At the end of the day, Chip Kauchak and Jeff Pope took first prize with five, cookie cutter fish weighing 16.39lbs. First place paid $998, two $20 gift certificates to Honey Creek Tackle and a bottle of Bass Boat Saver. The only other limit was by second place team of Gary Moore and Ed Shepp with a five fish bag of 10.13lbs ($499). Third place was turned in by Rob Grisell and Jason Pickett with three fish, 9.19 lb. bag ($291). Fourth place and Big Bass went to Kelvin Michael and Jason Patters who had two fish for a total of 8.02lbs with one weighing 5.35lbs ($187 + $520 for BB). The money winners were rounded out by Bob Setzer with three fish weighing 7.85lbs ($104

Several additional prizes were awarded to winners of the Raffle. The prizes included 50/50 split of the pot which amounted to $95 for one lucky tournament participant. Additional prizes were: $25 gift certificate to Tackle Service Center, a Hooked-Up Bait Grab bag and a $20 gift certificate to Honey Creek Tackle
