This young lady may run in both the Oaks and the Derby.
What do you guys think, looks like a good horse..................
I thought the same thing and in a interview with Phletcher recently he said they would consider her running in both if the post position was favorable. This was on channel 32 news Friday afternoon, I was a little puzzled by that one to, but I just know I heard it right.
It would be a feat. But if something happened to the horse in the Derby and that horse got hurt....The trainer would suffer severe reprecussions.

I found the story...Can believe they were even considering it....Just gives the PETA bums more ammo....
Just seen another fresh headline that said he will make a firm decision Tuesday and will probably Opt to run her in the Derby instead of the Oaks. I probably just heard something wrong Friday, I'm not thinking to clearly here lately.
I hope she wins if she runs in the Derby, I like pulling for the GIRLS.
So I did actually hear it right, I thought I did..................
This was already answered.. never mind

They were not even thinking about RUNNING her in BOTH races. The idea was to ENTER her in the Oaks and the Derby, see what Post Positions she drew and then decide which race to RUN her in and scratch her from the other one. This happens sometimes when connections are not sure which race would be best for a particular horse and they want to check Post Postions, weather, what other horses will run, etc. I have seen horses listed for two races on the same day, or more commonly for two races, like on Saturday and Sunday but they always scratch from one other the other. No trainer or owner would even consider running a horse two days in a row.

Well like said if you read it carefully you are right but the media did report that she would be entered and possibly run in both races. Like you I had never heard of such a thing, but that is what they said. They were not even thinking about RUNNING her in BOTH races. Anyway I hope she wins. I don't keep up with the Ponies too much but it's fun once and awhile. We use to go the the Day at the Downs every year, that was always fun.
I hope they run her in the Oaks. She's a nice filly, but I really think she'd be way overmatched in the Derby.
According to todays Daily Racing Form, Pletcher is running Devil May Care in the Derby and is not entering her in the Oaks at all. He also pulled Rule and Interactif from the Derby due to poor workouts. that moved Jackson Bend and Back Talk into the Derby.

I would not take anything Pletcher says as gold until it's time to draw for post positions.
Nobles Promise is back in...don't know if this is a desperation move on the part of McPeek or he's actually ready...Lung infections are very unpredictable this time of yr.
