I am going to ride over and take a look at Salt River here in a minute and see how high it is. I am sure it is brown and rolling.

This is a ridiculous amount of rain. Looking at the radar it is gonna rain for hour's to come without stopping. I bet most local's will top 5 inches before this thing is said and done, it's just not moving at all.

Salt River here in Shepherdsville is coming out of its banks. It is flood stage at 32 feet and they are expecting it to reach 31.5 by tomorrow evening.

Its funny, we live at 900+ ft of elevation, yet were stranded from going where we want because of high water. My companion relies on an O2 concentrator quite a bit, so we lost power, it wont work.She needed to be in Bowling green this morning for a doctors appointment, so we needed to make a long trip even longer.When I was checking into a motel that allows pets, was talking to two couples who were flooded out, and they said they weren't even close to a flood plain.There are a lot of costs that will not be covered by any disaster plan. But having TV, light, air conditioning, and a hot meal was worth the extra money, we could have gamboled that the power would come back on, but there was alot more to lose than win. Coming home, all went well, ky90 was open, our power was on,and life is good again. Well for us, but a lot of folks have far more problems than we did, and I wish them well.So my fishing will just be put a little further back on the burner, but it will end, good for some of us bad for others, so count your blessings, it could be worse. As far as wolf creek dam is concerned, it will never be fixed. If it fails, I'll own lake front property for a couple of days.

I was wondering about you guys at the plant. I thought they abandoned ship at 25 ft. Glad it was able to stay online. I bet the pictures are insane.

About 4:30 this morning (abouit a half hour ago)...it was raining here in Valley Station! (Tuesday morning). Geesh man...enough already!!

On a separate note, while watching the morning news I'm seeing that Nashville has taken a real beating on this....this morning they are 12' ABOVE flood stage! The downtown music district is flooded (I'm not sure but I don't think The Ryman Auditorium is flooded since it sits higher up the hill), as well as several other out lying areas that also includes Opry Mills Mall. I kind of consider Nasvhille to be one of my homes away from home, I sure hope the water recedes soon and no more rain comes there way anytime soon. Closer to home Burkesville is taken a pounding too, I've heard people had to be moved from the Cumberland Lodge (on the bank of the Cumberland River) to the state park lodge.

We're getting a taste of what life would be like if the dam at Cumberland were to fail.
