    Soft Plastics Question

I have all of 5 Rod/Reel combos that i use. 3-5'6" rods my Dad gave me as a kid, and 2-6'6" MH rods I bought on my own recently. I do not own a spinning rig, nor will I be able to afford one any time soon. Now I know for a fact I can T-rig with these because i have been my whole life. My question is...drop shot, waccky wormin, shaky head...can these finesse techniques be done on my baitcasters with any success???

I have fished shaky heads on it, but not to as much success as i would like....

    Re: Soft Plastics Question

Not sure about wacky rigging, but with the correct line you can easily drop shot and shaky head fish with all of your set ups. I would use as light a flouro line that your rod and reel will allow (6 lbs-10lbs test) for drop shot and maybe a little heavier flouro for shaky head (8 lb - 12 lb test). As for wacky rigging, you can get away with it with your set up...it will be a little tricky to cast, but that's due to your reel, not the rod. The hook up will also be a challenge with a 5'6" rod, but not impossible.
