I canoe teh Green through Mammoth Cave on occasion, and let me tell you there are some monster muskie in that river...you can usually spot them as they swim by.
How do you fish for muskie?? Especially in a river?

I caught this Female Muskie in Barren River right before the 2-day monsoon hit. Wish the water levels would go back down soon...

In a river, I look for deeper holes of water and throw swim baits. I also throw around fallen trees and debris.
With green river being mentioned. I have been told that green river is one of the deepest rivers in the usa and maybe the world. Can anybody verify this ???????????
Man that's a nice fish!
A friend and myself used to float Barren alot several years ago, we would put in at the hwy 101 bridge and float down to either the upper Iron bridge rd or another spot a little futher up. We had a few huge and I mean huge muskies blow up and hit small pop r's, an ultra lite and 6 lb test are no match for a muskie. We also saw one that had a 2 1/2 lb carp in his mouth, we got the john boat right next to him and he was a long as our paddles. His uncle caught this fish and it was over 40in. There are some good ones in the river and below the spillway in the winter you can catch them there. Nice one you got there esox.
That is a nice Muskie! I've never caught one, now I think I will have to try harder! That's friggin' sweet man!
Congo River is deepest in the world, but some say the deepest parts of teh green have never been measured as it flows through cave country.. who knows???
