    Headed to Quetico Thursday........

Man, oh MAN, I cannot wait.

I should be sticking some serious smallies Saturday morning........8 days of 14+ hour canoe smallie fishing.......GOTTA LOVE IT.

I have not done a robo fishing trip up there in about 5 years. I sure hope I can handle it .

It is nothing to catch 70-100 fish a day up there.......and we're not talking about 12 inchers either..........

    Geo

Good luck and stay safe, George!

I sure am jealous. I've done 2 trips to the BWCA and am dying to get back. Our fishing wasn't always the greatest, though.

    How to be a GEO........

    * Marry a WONDERFUL wife who doesn't NAG about the fishing......CHECK.
    * WORK hard for 30 years and squirrel some away.....CHECK.
    * Manage to accumulate LOTS of vacation Days and "comp" time........CHECK.
    * Have a GREAT group of BUDDIES to go fishing with........CHECK.
    * Have a GREAT group of online buddies to talk about fishing........CHECK.

    * Learn to Fish.....................UH.......UH..........UH.. ......

Still working on the last one.

    Man, I CANNOT WAIT.

In reality though this trip is about what a long weekend trip to KY lake costs. I can do it for about 300 bucks.........Mostly because I own my own canoes and all the gear, and I go with groups of 4-8 guys. The more guys that go, the lower the costs. The single biggest expense now days is the Gas. So going with 8 where you take an economy car and a BIG TRUCK works great.

100 bucks for gas, 100 bucks for food/licenses, 100 bucks for permits. 300 bucks.

Dude I can swing that one easy. Heck I spend that going to Cumberland for a few days sometimes. By the way I match you on almost every line, but I can't fish either but I love trying.

I can't wait either. This will be my first trip up there. It's been pretty reasonable for a week-long trip, and George assures me his dinners will be gourmet all the way! I fully expect to fish at least 12 hours per day every day. It just can't get better than that!

Out trip is a little more expensive.........150-200 bucks due to RABC, and Canadian Nightly camping fees....

Take the final quote I gave you for our trip and subtract 150-200 bucks maybe a little more and taht is what you have for a BWCA trip.......

    Geo
