Six feet over summer pool and dropping a foot a day. I heard from a guy at work Tuesday that the lake ****** right now.

Flip the trees and grass along the banks that are normally not submerged. Use 1/2 oz weights and a tube/creature bait. Crawfish cranks in red/orange also produced. Was out there Tuesday and there were a lot of fish caught, keepers and chunky 13-14 inchers. If you find the right areas the lake is not as terrible as most make it out to be but I will agree that it is tougher than the average lake year-round.

5+ lber won the Monday morning big fish and 7+ won the Tuesday night, was another small tourney Tuesday morning and I saw them weigh numerous fish...so another tip may be fish close to the ramp if you can get some released fish to bite.

any part of the lake look better then the other? if any one can take a guess as to where the water will start clearing up first? towards the **** or van buren?
