Abu Black Max
Abu Pro Max
BPS Pro Qualifier
Quantum!!!
Smlljaw showed me a website the other day called tackletour.com and they rate and compare these items.. It's pretty interesting and woth taking a peek at.
I have owner all the different kinds of reels but as far as quality and durability, Quantum has been the best for me..
X2 on the Pro Qualifier and Quantums (I have the KVD series)....pair them with St. Croix Mojo Bass rods and you've got a good combo for under $200!
I ask this same question a while back, and got the same answers you are getting. So I took everyones advice and narrowed it down to a curado and a revo. I went with the curado, to my I liked the way it felt in hand better than the revo. I dont think you could go wrong with either one. If you want a great reel for 80 bucks BPS has the pro qualifer on sale. I bought one of these last year and it is very nice, for the money nothing can touch it. Hope this helps, good luck.
I've used Quantums and the Curado, I'd take the Curado if I had 180 to spend.
With that said, anybody seen the Quantum Escalade that ****'s has? They are $59.99 down from $79.99. Anybody have an opinion on them? I'm looking for one to put 50 lb brain on for pitching into cover and I like my Curado too much for that. What about the Diawa Megaforce? You can get it for the same price.
Thanks, Ted
If you don't wanna spend the money for the curado with the shimano citica....I have 6 and picked them up for around 90 bucks apiece....can't beat them for the money
