Congratulations to Brent & Shaun Richardson for winning the 3rd event of the Geist/Morse Division on Saturday, 6/5/2010 at Geist Reservoir.

A low pressure system saw clouds and some rain move in late in the day. Many of the teams mentioned having to adjust their fishing styles in the morning to find the fish - those that made the right adjustments found them, just as someone always does at Geist. 20 Teams participated at the seasons 3rd event, and Geist produced another solid day for a great group of fishermen. In all, over half of the teams weighed in a 5 fish limit, taking nearly 14# to get a check once again.

Richardson & Richardson took home $320 for 1st place with a 16.99# stringer. This is their first win of the season, and will put them in contention to win the Divisional Points title! Great job, Brent & Shaun.

John Devries and his substitute partner took home $190 for second place with 14.68#, anchored by the 2nd Big Bass of the day, a 4.53# fish good for an additional $60. John also won the Anglers Dream tournament that took place - not a bad day!

Donnie Vaughn and Jeff Huffman took home $120 for 3rd place. They had a 5 fish limit weighing in at 14.05# and were the $120 Big Bass winners of the day with a 4.73# fish. These guys are on a mission to win the Divisional Points title and have been very consistent through the first 3 tournaments.

Gary Moore and Ed Shepp had a solid event and took home $70 for 4th place, thanks to a 5 fish limit weighing in at 13.51#.

Reminder that our next event will be held at Morse on Sunday June 27th. We will take-off at daylight and launch in conjunction with an Anglers Dream event going on at the same time. You are eligible to fish both events if you wish.

Thanks to all that fished with us this weekend - weve enjoyed all of the teams that are participating to make the first year of the Geist/Morse Division a success. Most of the regionals schedules should be finalized on the website for those of you that are planning on fishing. There will be announcements at the last two events to cover qualifications for the Regionals and Classic - feel free to find more information on the home page.

The Divisional Points Champions has tightened up, with several teams in contention going into the final stretch of the season! The Divisional Points Champions will fish at the Regional for a chance to become the Regional Points Champions and advance to the National Classic next spring on Kentucky Lake, for a shot at $2500 in cash and the National Points Champion Award!

See you in a few weeks!
