Smile Time for the bucket list!?

Woke up a few mornings ago, and realized I'm getting very old! 74 yrs 4 days. Artritis in the knees, and neck, questionable ticker, and bladder almost shot.So I bought some scratch offs, and a couple of power balls, and guess what? I'm 25 bucks poorer than I was.Our garden of eden isn't much with out the wife, now its awfull acres. So I'm thinking of senior housing, kids think its a good idea, they dont care for the location though. they want me to move closer to them, I disagree, dont want to be a problem to them, and atlanta and nortern indiana gives me goose bumps. So heres what I'm wishing for, one more trip up north, maybe rainy lake or lake of the woods, doubtfull, but not entirely out of the question.Lake erie for some good SMB fishing, western michigan for one more steelhead shot at a 20+ a chance to drive an audi quatro at 120 +, for a minute or two. Watch my 4 grandkids graduate college, got a fair chance for at least one. And light up all the lights on the penny slot machine with a 3 buck bet,. my cousins wife hit a big jackpot at an indian casino in michigan, and dropped dead on the spot, I'd like to spend a few bucks of mine though.

I like your ideas on the bucket list. A few of mine would be see the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Scuba Dive some off shore reefs, see the Redwoods in California and those are just a few....I have so many!

I think a bucket list is a great idea. A close group of friends and I got together after we graduated high school and went drinking and made a list of everything we wanted to accomplish by the age of 30. When we turned 30 we got back together and brought out our lists and talked about what we had achieved. It was alot of fun. I like the idea of making a list of things you want to accomplish before you die. Some of my goals were unrealistic like getting my pilots licence. I would love to head back to Hawaii. And before retirement find a house live on the water, either a lake, river or ocean.

That is very cool Margie! We never had the foresight for something like that especially if drinking or weed were involved.

Have I got the place for you! An A frame on the shore of lake sinclair, boat dock, quiet back water, city water, only problem, people live close by. thats where my son wants me to move to. think KY is hot in the summer, try centeral georgia. He has it for sale, but no takers. With the poor economy and banks not lending money, its standing there vacant. We had a family get together there two summers ago, and I used to fish there in the fall.No give me these corp lakes, no buildings on the water, quiet fall days.I'm thinking he wants close to 150,00 for it. he lives in atlanta, works there too, it was supposed to be a get away for him and his wife, but she had her cancer come back, and lost the third round.Maybe thats another reason I dont care for the place.
