    Motorguide question.

For you guys that have Motorguide TM.

I just got a motorguide (it was a good deal) and I've always had Minnkota. It's a Digital Tour Series. The pedal on the MG has unequal toe down vs heel down movement. With toe down I can only turn 90 degrees to the right (1/4 turn). Heel down, it goes almost all the way around, 3/4 of a turn. Should it be at least half and half or that is just the way Motorguide pedals are?

    Re: Motorguide question.

I think you can adjust the heel/toe setting ... centering the direction of your TM head to correspond to a level foot control pad. You'd probably have to take the top off of the TM & maybe some screws/pins, to release the controls, then set your pedal to where you want "straight forward" to be ... then set the TM prop head to the forward position, & put the screws/pins back. Now, mind you ... I did say "I THINK" you can do that ... so, I'd wait for confirmation from someone else, preferably someone that "knows" that it can be done (& how to do it) !!

The way pappy suggests is the way I have always made the adjustment.

    Re: Motorguide question.

Ditto.. I have adjusted my Brute 767 the same way.
I just recently had a new motor installed and when he put my cable back on I lost directional control the same way. I keep forgetting to fix it.. Thanks to this post I am going to fix mine in about 5 minutes..

    Re: Motorguide question.

X 3.....I love the one I've got. The only issue I've had is the pointer on the head getting off track/pointing the wrong way, but its a simple fix....very much like what how you guys have been saying to fix idbefishing's steering issue.
