Thanks for the link.
I did not know much if any of this.
I came pretty close about ten years ago and the article sounded very familiar. Maybe forward the link to your friends that spend time on the water.

This might belong on a different board, but I got this in an email today and thought I would pass it on. Take a min or two to read it, it might save somebody one day. Thanks.

Agree Peter...I already sent it out to a large group of what I consider very experienced boaters/swimmers. I have been on water for 43 years and consider myself an excellent swimmer with great respect for the dangers of the water, but have never heard of or given any thought to the info in this article. Correction, I will say that when the kids get quiet, I IMMEDIATELY want to know if everyone is OK, but that applies on land also!
You were way ahead of me. When the kids got quiet I was thankful.
Thanks for this info I did not know any of it!!
Thanks again for the info, everyone that spends time on the water needs to know this.
That is good information something I did not know.
Thanks for the post might save a life.
Todd, Excellent article! I also was unaware of this.
A few yrs ago while on vacation, a 3 yr old boy went down the slde at the condo we were staying at, I was right there waiting for my 5 yr old daughter (who had on a lifejacket), he landed right beside me, never came up so I just reached down, grabbed him by the shorts and pulled him up. He came up gagging and crying which got his mothers attention, she came over wanted to know what happened, never thanked me and screamed at him for being over there... nice mom.
Nice work.
This is my first post on here and I'm proud for it to be related to that article. What a great article. I had no idea about any of that. Thanks for sharing. I will pass on the info.
