Fishing report from Thursday:

We decided to start early and avoid the heat so we launched from the New Albany ramp at 0630 hours. Surface temp was over 80 degrees.

We were hoping to find some hybrids in the jumps again, but no bait fish were at the surface, thus no hybrids.

I decided to try for some catfish while my buddy doggedly tried for the hybrids. I caught a few cats while he still tried for the hybrids, to no avail.

Lower level was up to 20 feet so I'm sure that was a factor. It sure is difficult to figure out the river at McAlpine. Each day provides some new challenge.

We left the river around noon as the heat became a little too much. No clouds to ward off the sunshine.

Tight lines and good fishing to all.
