pipeline maintainance costs money, it dosn't add to the bottom line, so its given very low priority.I fished that river, it was a great walleye and sdalmon stream. But if that spill enters lake michigan, the CEO of that company should be jailed, his company fined the cost of all damages to the states of Indiana and Illinois. There are thousands of miles of pipelines in this country, and some of them carry things that could cause damages, but the laws to inspect them are lax or non existant.Been that way for years.Know one thing they did? make us guys who worked on using them take drug tests. Some old pipelines are not even recorded anymore, and still have usage.

Catfish Bob, do you fish? Or do you just spend your entire life surfing the web for a good conspiracy theory to follow? You said you were not allowed to watch tv and that is bad, but yet you spend so much time surfing the web looking for the craziest bat crap stuff you can find and then you take the bait hook, line and sinker.

It may be "batcrap" to some, but its something that needs attention.the company that owns the pipeline, is canadian, so do they give a s--t what happens when they have a "little accident". Yes and no.Yes because it means they have a slight earnings drop, and no because they dont live where it happened. When I said I worked on a pipeline, I did and I didn't. We got our feed stock of natural gas from TX, and reformed it into hydrogen, which we sent down another pipeline to different end users. But the industrys that use these pipelines, dont want regulation, it costs money, and costs effect profits. So Joe Blos house burns down, because of a faulty interstate pipeline, they dont care.An oil pipeline breaks and screws up the drinking water of a couple of people, big deal. But this little spill could have been much worse, 20% of the fresh water in thiscountry is in the great lakes, screw that up, and the price of beer will go up quite a bit.
