Yes, It was Crazy Frontal conditions with sustained winds at 30 that went through and then cold high bluebird skies on tourney day. We actually caught some nice ones in the wind the day before, but then the bite got real tough with bluebird skies.

Did anybody here fish this tournament at Patoka last year? I just saw the result and couldn't help but wondered what happpened? 3 limits from the entire field, half of the field either had 1 or 2 or blanked.

My dad and I were one of the teams that got a limit. We don't fish Patoka often and only practiced one day earlier that week and found a pretty good pattern. We caught four early and then filled out the limit around noon....after that was very tough! This year will be a little different I'm sure...the tourney is a week or two sooner. I think we had 14 lbs. and were worried all day about about just making the top 40....to say the least we were surprised at how much everyone struggled.
Man, that's brutal. I hope things will be different this year. Was the pre-tournament meeting all the way in Clarksville too?
After reading this....I'm glad I too a few extra days off for preperation.
I'll be fishin the tournament too. I was also suppose to be an observer in the Nitro owners tourney but that kinda fell apart. Looks like more members here fish the fall vs. the spring.
