    Dale Hollow's most elusive fish

Dale has been kind in July.the fish are finally headed deep, weeks behind schedule. You'd think with the 15 degree above average June that they would have headed down earlier but it wasn't the case. Now you can find Bows and Smallies down to 80 ft or so and the walleyes are 25 to 55 ft.Late in July Dale Hollow gave up it's most elusive fish,a German Brown Trout.http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/r...eral/050-1.jpg They started stocking them in 2005 and since then, knowing that if abundant forage is available, they are the single hardest fresh water fish to catch.I have put the question out on other Dale Hollow fishing forums, has anyone caught a Dale Hollow Brown trout?Smallie guys ,walleye guys ect. the same answer comes back everytime , NO, we have caught plenty of Rainbows but no browns.I have caught more muskies in Dale than Browns. So far we have one 10 lber and a couple of seven plusers ans a six but still not the numbers I would like to see of the hardest fighting fresh water fish I've tangled with that might one day exceed 40 lbs in weight.Only one has been of the Seeforellan variety and the others were German Browns.According to the TWRA's creel counter, the hand full we have caught and one my friend Jim from North Carolina caught are the only ones they are aware of.Elusive is and understatement.....Here are a few fish from trips in July..... FFG that brown trout sure is a beautiful fish. Is there a size limit on Dale for those?
