    Green River Stlye Fish Batter-Recipe?

    Anybody know what's in it?

It is pretty much just corn meal with some spices.
I believe the Suburban Social club at Third And Central in Louisville coined the name and it has nothing to do with Green River.

I believe they still fry it there on Saturdays.

    Thanks

    Peter

I don't know the ingrediants...but I can vouch for Suburban Lodge being a mighty fine establishment. And yes, they still fry every saturday.

I used to live down the road from there and have eat my share of there fish It is very good hot or cold and i dont like cold fish at all.
If you have never been there be prepaird to stand for a while the lines are long some times but the fish is fresh out of the fryer and pipping hot.
Man it will make your toung wipe both your eye brows..
