Yeah, we definitely don't need yogie's little cousins trashing our camp or our scalps! But I would like to see one out in the wild. This is sounding like a fun trip to me.

Went out with my fly rod for the first time in a couple of months. I caught a couple 6-inch bluegills, and that was it. i might have had better luck throwing topwater for bass, but the strikes were often out of reach for my fly rod (if I'm the one casting it, that is). In a few weeks, the temps should cool off and it will pick up, but I REALLY miss the days of catching 30 in a couple of hours.
And the fishing-hunting trip to the gorge sounds incredible. I have great memories growing up in Mississippi when all the hunting seasons overlapped. We'd deer hunt morning and afternoon, then puddle-jump ducks and try to kick up rabbits mid-day. There's something about being completely exhausted at the end of the day and excited for more. One day...
Way to get the FR out there on the gills eddie. I was hoping to join a friend on the CR this week, but just couldn't get my schedule to coinside with his.....It's going to be pretty hot this week....hope it finallly makes the turn towards fall and we can get rid of this 90+ degree crap! Come on 60-70's!
