It's not just a great idea...it's the biggest growing sport in America now. Billions is going in this recreation industry. I have kayaks and canoes for free and some to rent inexpensive for the day. There will be other paddlers to help you get started. Most camp at Burnside for the weekend to share great ideas and stories. Go to the web site and email me and I will assist you. We now have over $2000- in prizes!! Grand prize is a $1000 Wilderness Systems fishing kayak!!!
I have been thinking about getting a Kayak. This idea of tournament from it sounds great. Are there any of these planned closer too Bowling Green?
This is the very first kayak fishing tournament in the state of KY!! I could help someone organize one in that area. Yakangler.com is a good sourse of information too! First place is a $1000 Wilderness Sysatems Tarpon120, a good sit on top. I will have about 20 kayaks and canoes available for people to use free and some to rent. You can demo them that Saturday and there will be paddlers doing lessons and demos. Live band, Fatman's BBQ and a $275 flyrod set up to raffle open to the public. Thanks for the thumbs up! Suzy

Two weeks until the tournament! Most of the prizes and raffles are in. We could still use a youth division's prize for first place. Any ideas on sponsors? They will be placed on the web site, flyers and radio starts this week and you'll be recognized at the event. We have 4 youths so far entered! Even a youth can win the Tarpon120! THANK YOU Steve! I just emailed you. I'm getting calls and emails everyday of interests in KYs first kayak fishing event.
One more week and we're still getting in more sponsored items. A Shimano rod, Backwater Piranha paddles, Yakdaddy slider, Souther Women Outdoor, etc and that was just yesterday. I got more sponsors than I caught fish all day.
