The rod sleeves in my boat were Stick Jackets.

They are more than woth the money. Before I started using them I would have numerous rod repairs each season with replacing missing eyelets and tips due to rods getting tangled together in storage box....these eliminate that problem as well as protect your rods. Have not had one rod repair like those mentioned in the two years I have been using them.

They are worth the money. They also make it easier to slip into your rod lockers without the tangling.

The Duckett rods are sweet. That is now all I own. I love the action of each rod. The crankbait rods are the best I've ever had in my hand. They have a super soft tip like a fiberglass rod but they don't come with the weight of one. The only thing I have heard negative about them is that the line gets hot while going through the micro guides and tends to break. I have fished these rods when it's 100 degrees and have not had the first problem with my line breaking so I'm not buying that one. They are very sensitive and balanced extremely well.

Man, I love the stick jackets..........simply LOVE them.

The only negative........don't run down the road or the lake with them on your rods and the RODS strapped down on the boat. You might lose a couple rods......

I know this from experience . ****, I'm hard on equipment.

I've been using stick jackets for at least two years started with a couple and now have one for every rod I have in the boat.

I have stik jacket too and they make life a hell lot easier. I would recommend going with the guy on BBC who can customize the length. The closer the open end is to the reel the more your trebble hooks get snagged in them. 5' to 5'6" should be about the perfect length.

The good thing about that, is the hooks slide right out if you compress the fibers. All of my rods are at least 7', and I use the 6.5' stik jacket, it covers it up past the last eye on the rod. If you have a longer rod - 7.5' the 7' stik jacket is a good match.
