    Re: reel oil

Lots of good oil out there.

I've used Hot Sauce, Reel Butter, and a few others.

Recently, I've been using the shimano oil that is sent with the higher end reels.......it seems to work really good.

I've also used clock oil which is pretty fine.

I should say, the key is to NOT over oil. Too much will simply gunk stuff up.

I use hot sauce I like it a lot.I clean and oil my reels twice a year. It makes the reels last longer and work better.

I have used most and i'm not sure it matters as much as touted. Using rocket fuel right now I like it. I do think once I cleaned the bearings with lighter fluid and let them dry I oiled them and I could tell a big difference. I think it was the cleaning that helped the most.

I use Hot Sauce too and like it. But I have heard good things about Rocket Fuel.

rocket fuel is awesome but do not get the "Tournament Grade" I made that mistake, it is for people who do casting competitions and is too thin for use for fishing purposes.
