So much for the COE forecast!: flow was increased from 500 to 1,500 today below Wolf Creek Dam. Gravel bars will be "down under".
Given that, plus the fishing hasn't been that great lately, just might be time to get back on the lake and check out the Striper bite. But, was sure looking forward to catching a few of those CR browns this fall...oh well!!!

Thinking I spoke to soon.....Drove down to Indian Creek to check it out and found that a 1,500 cfs flow, you can still wade the gravel bar. Now, if I could only catch some decent fish there!!!
Who Ho!!, grab a tree and hold on!!!!!
COE/TVA are putting a little water through Wolf Creek;

Yea, Brokenkee told me last weekend I needed to get down there. Earliest I could was tomorrow. Hmmm...
Been a while..hope you get down to the CR. Best advise I can give is BE CAREFUL. COE is surging the generators, so never know what the river level will be. Watch their web sites and fish accordingly! Like others have advised, stack some stones as water mark line and keep an eye on them.
For me, fishing has been problematic, but would suggest Helm and down steam to Crocus Creek/Bakertown Ferry area. Go get em!!
