    Rough River Tailwaters

Can anyone tell me what the tailwaters are like below the dam at Rough River? Species? Patterns? Tips?

    Re: Rough River Tailwaters

I cant say from personal experiance but i have read from time to time about fishing there and other tail waters. There is times when the stripe bass are hitting this is usualy in the fall when they first open the gate the cat fishing can be pretty good to. When they shut down the gates and things settle down some the crappie fishing can be pretty good and there is no size limit in the spill way. I wish i could help you some more but I;m just learning this stuff for myself.

For what its worth I have a friend who lives close to eveleigh boat ramp and he told me they were catching there limits of crappie out of the deep holes back in the creeks fishing about 1 to 2 feet deep using black and syracuse green white and syracuse green white and just anything light color.
    Good luck.
