Man that's tough. The river is definitely hurting.
Ken is a good friend of mine (and he reads on here all the time, just won't join)...this going out of business thing has been coming. The last few times we had been out together, we struggled to catch even stockers. It just hard to guide on the CR now days with the inconsistency and lack of quality fish. He kept trying to make it work, but the river just would not allow it. That man KNOWS the river! And if he can't catch enough fish to justify guiding...then the river is hurting! He said he isn't hanging up his rod, so I imagine if the river improves in the future, he'll be back at it again. Until then, maybe he can work on his golf game....haha! (that's right Ken, I went there!).

Ken and I hit the river yesterday...despite them increasing the generation to 22,000 cfs! We knew we would be restricted to creeks with that flow, but we didn't expect to catch only 1 fish! And that was the only bite we had....it was a 13" brown. It was a beautiful day to be on the water none the less...better than being at work anyday!
