vaseline on your rod?

I've been told to put vaseline on your rod eyes to keep them from iceing up? Anyone tried this?

never treied vaseline but pam cooking spray works really well. It does however leave a bit of sticky film on it.

You can also spray Reel Magic on the guides as well....

Reel magic or automotive spray on silicone should do the trick.

This weekend I removed something like 10 similar comments. It gets old. Some were much worse than yours.
