Caught my first 3 Springs bow of the winter season today....fell victim to a bh black crystal bugger. When I first showed up there, I drove all around the lake looking for the rising stockers, but I could not find one rise. This generally is my indicator that they have stocked...stockers can't help but jump! So, I called the BG fisheries department to make sure the stocking happened, and he said that it had....so I just starting blind casting buggers along the ramp area, and actually caught one, so I know they are in there! lol. I'll give them a few more weeks and maybe they will start feeding and rising more. Did feel good to have a trout tugging on the other end of my FR....love that!
