    new guides

I have a rod that i want to put new guides on. I have never fooled with this sort of thing before, but some of the guides have lost the insert including the rod tip. Any help or links to some instrutionals would be great.

There are several good tutorials on net for building and repairing rods. Rebuilding a rod isn't that difficult it just takes some practice and the right tools to get it right. I absolutely would NOT just dive right into it though. If you have some old broken rods you definitely practice on them before you go to work on the rod you want to repair. 2 part epoxy, as stated above, will get the job done for a quick, short term, repair but you do not want to leave it that way. 2 part epoxy's dry very hard and brittle and over time, usually not long at all, will crack and break away. You want an epoxy that dries flexible so it will bend with the rod like Flex Coat, or Threadmaster (which is what I use on all of my builds and repairs). Here are a couple of links with tutorials, or do a search on youtube, there are some videos on there.

Here are some links for places to buy whatever parts and tools you may need or you can buy them from Mudhole above as well.

Personally I buy everything I can from Swampland just because Lance is a GREAT guy to deal with. All of the people at these places build rods as well and are very good about helping out with questions. If I can help anymore let me know.
