New DI units from Lowrance and Humminbird

Has anybody used one of the new DI (down imaging) units from Humminbird or Lowrance? I am thinking about buying one and interested in a review. They are so new that I can't find any reviews. Thanks for your help!

I have a HDS8 in dash and HDS10 up front both have down imaging, the difference is night and day, I would get DI unit over the other.

Thanks for the advice. Both Humminbird and Lowrance have new units that are only down imaging and not side imaging and they are set at a reasonable price. I have always had Lowrance, but it looks like you make get a little bang for the buck with Humminbird if considering the color units. Does your Lowrance produce the picture instantly or do you have to sit over an object for a while to get the photo like image? Thanks for your help!

    DSW

With my HDS8 & 10 I run them with side imaging, gps and down imaging at the same time, I dont use the sonar in color anymore because the DI is so much better, you can tell what you are looking, a tree looks like a tree with DI, so I dont use the color sonar any more, unless I I'm showing someone the differencre.
