Elkhorn Creek

I might get the opportunity to fish Elkhorn this year and have some questions about the creek ...I have fished it twice in my life and both times it was from the area just as you go into Georgetown from Paris ...There doesn't seem to be a lot of water you can fish from a regular size bass boat,I have a 17 foot bass tracker and am wondering if there are places such as there is in Stoner Creek upstream from Paris and south licking downstream from Cynthiana ...I have always heard good things about the creek but just never took the time to learn much about it.

there are a few ramps in georgetown and i have seen several bass trackers launched at each one. also some smaller fiberglass boats. fished out of a two man boat at the robinson dam ramp up to great crossing and had some good luck. dont think i would run the big motor, maybe just idle cause of the log jams you cant see above water.
